The author's purpose in writing this book to produce a realistic guide to teaching methods for trainee riding instructors. Most of the existing books on instructing seem to assume the sorts of ideal conditions which rarely prevail today: the old methods of teaching riding have needed to change with the advent of the weekend rider, for example. This book explains how to teach, complimenting those books which are concerned mainly with what to teach.
